Gabriel

By Lamb

I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel

I can love
But I need his heart
I am strong even on my own
But from him I never want to part
He's been there since the very start
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel

Bless the day he came to be
Angel's wings carried him to me
Heavenly
I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel

He, Consequential, We

Etched in His thoughts, your frame He wrought
Unequivocally He wove you, inward and outward, He knew
Carved you it seems, from love, with generosity He filled your seams
A treasure I’ve found, happiness profound
And so to Him I am gratified, blessed and satisfied
From the tip of my nose, to the tip of my toes
You alight within me, a reason to be
From the break of light, to the fall of night
You invade my soul, you fill the hole
I always knew existed. You’ve got me twisted
In ways unimaginable, in ways impressionable
Sensations that tingle, overwhelm, ascend and mingle
Indulgent emotions that swell, reverberate like a lonely lovers spell
You’ve taken mutiny of my heart, in every way my counterpart
Just me and I am potential, with you I am consequential

Oh, Clementine

There once was a young lady called Clementine,
who was desperately seeking a valentine.
She put on a ski-mask, and grabbed a sack,
and hid in a bush, ready for attack.
Soon a young man came whistling by,
a spring in his step, all bouncy and spry.
But his joy was soon to come to an end.
His heart, drained of happiness would never mend,
for out of the bushes with a loud ululation,
sprang Clementine, with much determination.
She stuffed the young man into her sack,
and carried him home, strapped to her back.
She had finally found that Valentine to claim as hers,
and she locked him up for many years.
She would only let him out on that one special day,
Oh St Valentine, what would you say?
